WELCOME TO RENDCOMB SURGERY
There have been family doctors practising at Rendcomb for many generations. Our modern purpose built premises offer excellent facilities from which we continue to provide a very personal style of family medicine.
We offer a wide range of services for our patients living within a 9 mile radius of Rendcomb, and are situated about 100 yards off the A435, five miles north of Cirencester.
We have a large level car park with designated spaces adjacent to the entrance for patients who are disabled.
As well as a source of information about our practice, the staff and the services we provide, we hope you will use this website as a useful resource for other health-related information. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like. We can use your ideas to improve our online services and further develop the content of this site.
Repeat Prescription Requests
Rendcomb Surgery does not take telephone orders for repeat prescriptions. This is following safety guidance from NHS England.
We are one of the last surgeries in the area to stop taking telephone orders. We know the service is valued by some of our patients, but we must conform with guidance from other parts of the NHS.
To order repeat medication in the future please use one of the following options:
Online Service – if you are not already registered please go to the Quick Links menu on the right hand side of the screen and click 'Online Services'. Select ‘Order a repeat prescription’ and you will be taken to the registration page.
Once registered you can even download an app to your mobile phone which will enable you to order your medication, book and cancel appointments wherever and whenever you need.
By Fax to 01285 831679, please include medication name, strength and pack size
Repeat slip – tick the boxes of the medication you require on the green slip you receive with your repeat medication and either post or put in the box at the dispensary hatch
Medication Request Form – available at the dispensary hatch, just post it in the box
Care Quality Commission Inspection
The Care Quality Commission is the independant regulator of all health and social care in England. They are given powers by the government to register, monitor and inspect all health and care services.
Our inspection on took place on Thursday 10th December and has now been completed. We would like to thank any patients who were in the practice on the day and spoke to one of the inspection team.
We are delighted to report that the practice has been awarded a GOOD rating from CQC.
Quote from the lead inspector: 'there is no doubt that your patients receive a good service and good quality from everyone at Rendcomb'
The full report is now available and can be accessed here:
All patients registered at Rendcomb Surgery have an allocated Accountable GP. This makes no difference to the GP you see at the practice, you will always be able to choose who treats you.
If you would like to know who your named GP is - please ask at reception.
HAVE YOUR SAY!
